Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be referred by a doctor?

No, it is not necessary to have a doctors referral, but I may contact your doctor to clarify or confirm a medical history. Your insurance company may require you to have a referral from a doctor.

What will happen at my appointment?

I will make an assessment of your condition, nutritional status and aims of nutritional treatment before working with you to produce a treatment plan.

You may be asked to bring a questionnaire or food diary to your intitial appointment to ensure I have all the necessary information.
You will receive written materials at your first appointment to support you with your dietary plan.

How long will my appointment last?

Initial assessments are planned for 1 hour while follow up sessions are 30- 45 minutes.

How do I pay for my treatment?

If you are funding your own treatment, payment will be required at each visit. Cash, cheque or debit/credit cards are welcome.
If you have insurance funding in place, your insurer will be billed directly.

How many treatments will I need?

This will vary according to the reason you are attending, and your individual circumstances. I will discuss how many sessions are likely at your intitial appointment. Often times as few as one or two appointments are needed, however some people may find they would like more.

What are your opening times?

Appointments are available daily, including weekends.

Are there any hidden costs?

No, fees are paid per individual consultation and this is the full cost of the service. Depending on your individual needs, you will be informed of how many sessions you are likely to need but it is entirely up to you how many review sessions you book. Email or telephone support is available and included in the consultation price for your current treatment plan.

Do I have to buy any diet products or supplements?

I do not sell any type of dietary product or supplement. If I feel a supplement would be beneficial for you I will recommend several types and options as to where these may be obtained. Alternatively I may ask your permission to write to your GP to request a prescription on your behalf.
